Description
Dental Advantage offers a Dental Board approved 16 hour
CE, Pit & Fissure Sealant course. This two day course
provides you with comprehensive theory and clinical instruction.
Upon completion of this course and after meeting all state
requirements for the RDA, you may perform this procedure.
Supplies:
Students are required to bring all supplies required to
perform pit and fissure sealants to both days of class.
A detailed list of required armamentarium will be provided
as part of the student's confirmation packet. Dental Advantage
will provide the pit and fissure sealant material, acid
etch, pumice and assorted cotton products.

Course
Prerequisites:
In order to qualify to take this course, the student should
bring a copy of the following:
RDA
License or Certificate of completion from their Dental Assisting
school or employment verification of 15 months work experience.
Certificate of completion for coronal polishing from a Board
approved course /copy of your RDA license
Current CPR card (AHA or ARC)
Immunization Records (Hepatitis and TB test records)
Course Requirements:
Students will be required to apply pit and fissure sealants
on a total of 16 virgin, non-restored teeth, from a minimum
of four live patients. Each patient should have a minimum
of 1 tooth per quadrant. 1 clinical patient on the 1st class
meeting and 3 clinical patients on the second day of the
class, one of which will be the final exam patient. The
student is also required to pass a written exam on the first
day of the class.
